The Kebumen Regency KPU has determined the Permanent Voter List (DPT) for the Simultaneous Regional Elections on November 27, totaling 1,077,299 voters. The Head of the Kebumen Regency KPU, Dzakiatul Banat, said that the end of the data update is the determination of the DPT.
"The process starts from coklit, determination of the DPS, then at the end there is the determination of the DPT. The hope is that this DPT will be a reference for carrying out the next stages such as sending logistics for vote counting," said Dzakiatul Banat, Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Trio Azana Style Kebumen.
Compared to the Temporary Voter List (DPS) which totaled 1,078,438 voters, there was a decrease of 1,139 voters. This was due to several factors such as death, moving out, or duplicate data with other districts.
"There is a very dynamic data movement. One of them is voters who died, moved in, out, and also did not meet the requirements (duplicate). Duplicate data is one of those that is cleaned based on the e-KTP. It was just recapitulated in the morning, someone died in the afternoon. That is an inevitability in the field that makes the data move very dynamically," continued Dzakiatul Banat.
Meanwhile, when compared to the DPT of the last February Election (1,075,219 voters), this number has increased by 2,080 voters.
The next homework is voters who have moved. Like in Islamic boarding schools, this is crucial. We will classify whether their KTP is from Kebumen or not," added Banat.
Asked about efforts to embrace new voters who are dominated by millennials and Gen Z, he explained that so far the socialization process to schools has been carried out.
"More on voter education, the importance of democracy. Because when we visit schools, some are having P5 programs, one of the themes of which is democracy. So our opportunity to educate new voters is like a match made in heaven," he concluded. https://pafikabbima.org
